hi

I'm Amy, and I'm a reader.  The first book I ever read was "Bears in the Night" by Stan & Jan Berenstain.  I've probably read well over 2,000 books in my lifetime.  And I've kept track of a good number of them.  (I'm nowhere near Art Garfunkel-level, though!)

This website is an attempt to keep track of my favorites, my recommendations, my to-be-reads and just whatever's interesting or meaningful to me.   You can find all my Book Club's choices over the past 15 years.  And, copies of all my annual summer reading recommendations from years ago.  Enjoy, and HAPPY READING!

I'm a reader.

I read books and talk about them.

Sometimes I write.

And sometimes I drink.

CURRENTLY READING

I'm real tired of reading books about mothers and motherhood - if I were a plumber, the last thing I'd want to do is read novels about people fixing leaks and replacing pipes and their relationships.

So, I suggested "Frankenstein" for our October Book Club.

I love this book, the story of how it was written, Mary Shelley's life and this episode of Drunk History

Stay tuned for my analysis of "Frankenstein" as a story of motherhood... coming soon.
